Why I love my job

I love my business, and I love sharing and telling people about it even more! I've been selling younique for a few months now. The product is absolutely amazing, and I'm not just saying that because I sell it. I have sold LOTS of products over the years; beauticontrol, Avon, stampin' up, melaleuca, amway, we'll you get the point. This is the first product I have ever literally ran out and tried to get family members to sign up for. IT'S THAT GOOD! The products are all naturally based, no harsh chemicals, most of them are even gluten free. The best thing ... They work! Not only do they go a long way, but they actually give off the results they say they do and then some!

These results for me is absolutely incredible. I've noticed my skin colour evening out, I have NO pimples, whiteheads, blackheads or anything, a bunch of my fine lines have completely disappeared, and best of all my skin feels softer then it did in high school! I am going to continue using both the awake and brilliant daily and I'm seriously considering doing it twice a day.

There are lots of benefits to being a rep as well. Not only do I get to work with an amazing bunch of ladies, but I'm paid every night, all the parties are "virtual", and the company is still new enough that a person can get to the top! It's still such an open market. The company is fairly new, but it has made itself one hell of a reputation in the short time it has been around. The commission pay outs are one of the highest I've seen, and the hottest benefits that we give out to our customers are defiantly the best I have ever seen, to top it off our customers get a full year from their party to use up all their rewards. Now that my friends is unheard of!

There are so many other things I could add to the list of what I love, but this is where I'm gonna leave it for this post. Since it's almost 3:00am again; I guess hubby is right I am a night owl when he's gone! Lol

Crockpot cake for the win!

So today I was snooping around Pinterest. Looking for something that would be considered "light duty" yet different. You know how you just get into those moods where you don't want to do anything you've already done? Yeah that was me. Then I came across a few pins of crockpot cakes. Now I've cooked a lot of things in my crockpot but never thought of making a cake.
Now anyone that knows me knows I generally don't follow recipes to the letter, I always play with textures and ingredients and make it my own. So here ya go, my version of a quick easy crockpot cake.

1 box cake mix
1 can of pie filling (I used wild berry)
1/2 cup butter
3 eggs.
Cooking spray
Icing sugar

First off I sprayed my crockpot with cooking spray. Then directly into the crockpot put the pie filling, cake mix, beaten eggs, and softened butter. Gave it a light stir. Didn't go right to the bottom just try to get most of the dry cake mix moist. Then put the lid on, turned the crockpot on high, and set the timer for 2.5 hrs.

After cake was done we dusted it with icing sugar.

This was so easy. By the second hour the house smelled delicious. The kids kept coming out asking if it was ready yet. Ha! Once it was done I just dusted it with a little icing sugar and voila! The boys added a little cool whip on top of theirs and it was GONE in seconds!

This is definitely something I will make again!

Lazy Sunday!

It was a relaxing Sunday around our house today. I got a little bit of work done, talked to some amazing women both socially and work related. Did the AMAZING baked ziti freezer meal for supper. Which as always the kids loved too. If it wasn't 1:30am I'd post the recipe tonight too lol. We did run into our little local town to get the mail, and grab some chips to go with our movie and games tonight.

My biggest resolution or goal this year is to find balance in my life. I've spent way too many years running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I have chosen which of my businesses I will continue to work and which I will be shutting down. More than likely permanently!

I need better flow in my life and with my family. My kids are growing up faster than I can keep up, and quite frankly that scares me! It's not that I don't think we haven't been teaching them what they need for being in the real world on their own, it's more a fear that times gonna keep racing away and I'll miss it.

Even though today involved much more screen time them I would generally allow it was nice to just have that time with them. So my post is much later then I had hoped, but I did it! Now to try and get some sleep since a certain kitty who after almost 2 week has finally come for attention and is not giving up! Nighty night!

Loosing my mind on light duty!

Recovering from surgery is never a fun time. Especially for someone like me who is go go go all day, and generally does most things myself because then it's done right lol. Tomorrow will be a full month since my surgery, and I am still on light duty. To say it's driving me crazy would be an understatement.
It's snowing, there's a mountain of laundry, still haven't put away the Christmas decorations, the floors are in need of a good "on hands and knees" scrub, and we still have boxes kicking around from the move that need to be sorted through and organised. The kicker ... I can't DO anything. I can drive around now, and do errands and shopping but it wears me right out and I need a nap after. I can do some cooking, as long as I can sit down in between stirring/checking. Today I'm attempting the dishes. Only the breakfast and lunch ones, but somehow I've still needed a few breaks in between. The reality is I'm more scared of overdoing it then anything. Other than the low energy I feel great. Better than I have in a year since these health issues started. I really don't know what I am physically capable of because I refuse to but myself and find out. The last thing I need is another surgery.
Specialist follow up appointment isn't until Feb 3, and I really don't want to push it until I get the all clear. That being said I have hired someone to come clean the house on Friday because my boys have been working hard enough. Hopefully that will calm me down a bit for a few more weeks and I'll make it to the follow up appointment without doing something stupid.

This is me!

So this is me. I'm a 33 yr old wife and mother of 3 boys. Two of which still live at home. My husband works out of town as an excavator operator in the oil patch. He's away from home sometimes for months at a time, so that leaves me as a single mom with double income, and a wife to a man never around. Now I know some people aren't gonna like that statement, however it is the reality. Let me explain. I'm at home 24/7 with my boys. "Don't they go to school?" Is probably the first thing that comes to mind and that answer would be no. I homeschool both our boys. "Oh so your religious or scared of the world around you" again nope. (For the record all the questions I'm posting I have been asked more than once!) I am spiritual, and my kids see and live more of the real world than most kids in public school, they have friends scattered all over the globe that homeschool and/or go to public school. Currently they don't have many local friends, however we just moved to a new house 3 hours away from our old house, and haven't as of yet had a chance to really get out and meet people. "Why's that?" Well that's another blog post that I'll get to in the near future.
"So what do you exactly do in a day?" Well for that grab yourself a drink and you can check out a couple of my other blog posts. Typical winter "no running around" "home" day. Typical winter a "running around" day.
"What do you do in your free time?" Well when I have free time I read, knit, crochet, paint, watch movies, listen to music, take pictures, chat with friends and family, or spend time outside (that is when it's not -40c) just to name a few. I always have about 100 projects on the go, and bounce between them as the mood hits me or time finds me.
To sum me up in one post is pretty much impossible, but here's a few basics. I'm a country girl that loves life, dreams of having a full farm making my family mostly self sufficient. I love to teach art, and one day plan on getting my doctorate in art history. I LOVE animals of all kinds, even though I wouldn't hesitate to pull a trigger to feed my family. I have big plans and even bigger dreams, and I don't give up easily. I have more hobbies then I can keep track of. I have OCD, and ADHD which to me are gifts that I was blessed with. I've lived a hard life so far, and I'm still standing! Want to know more? Follow me on this journey that is my life. Just hand in cause it's bound to be one hell of a ride!
